Course overview
Access to Engineering is an entry-level course designed to give you the first step toward further study and a career in engineering.
This is an excellent option for preparing for a Modern Apprenticeship as it combines a range of practical skills with theory. If a more academic route, it will give you the necessary grounding you would prefer to pursue a career.
This is a college-devised SCQF level 5 equivalent.

- Graphic Communications including Computer Aided Draughting
- Practical Workshop skills
- Maths and Communications
How the course is assessed
- Portfolio based with some individual unit assessments.

- There are no formal entry requirements.

You will be invited for an informal chat and asked to complete some maths based questions to gauge your starting point.
