Fabricators and Welders are crucial to the renewables sector in Scotland where demand for skilled workers is high. This course is designed to provide you with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills required for fabrication and welding.
By completing this course, you will be better prepared to apply for an apprenticeship in the growing industry of Engineering. Our training program will enable you to acquire the necessary practical skills and interview preparation to meet the standards of local employers.
This is a college-devised SCQF level 5 equivalent.

Number of days per week
- 2.5 days per week, One day at Midlothian Campus and 1.5 days at Wallyford STEAM Centre.
Entry requirements
- National 4 Maths and English.
- A practical subject such as Craft, Design and Technology.
