Course overview
Through theoretical and practical learning, this new course is designed to support sporting performance - specifically for female football players. You will learn about the key aspects of performance such as nutrition, physiological systems, strength and conditioning, personal wellbeing and recovery.
You will apply what you have learned in this course to improve your skills development.

Placement information
- Although placement experience is not offered within this course, there will be opportunities at higher levels of study.
How the course is assessed
The course is assessed on an ongoing basis using a variety of methods which include:
- Written Assessments
- Log Books
- Practical Observations
Number of days per week
- 3 days per week
Entry requirements
- 3 National 4 qualifications at grade C or above, with the inclusion of English and preferably a sport/science subject.
- You must be playing football regularly
- If you do not have the formal requirements but are a mature student, you are welcome to apply.
Information on Tests / Auditions / Interview Requirements
- You must attend an information session, dates will be sent to you with your conditional offer. The session will include information on the course and a discussion on your suitability.
